Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy covers DC Developers & IT Solutions Ltd (CAC Registered, RC 9876196, incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020), based in Lagos, Nigeria, and the website at https://dcdevelopersit.com only. We run through two brands, DC Developers Tech and DC IT Solutions, which this policy also covers.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways.

Information you give us. When you use the enquiry form on the Services page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you selected and the project details you type in.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our server and hosting provider automatically note technical details such as your IP address, browser and device information, the page requested and the date and time, in the same way most websites do. We also use your IP address, in a one-way hashed (scrambled, not reversible) form, to apply a short-lived limit of three enquiry-form submissions per IP address every ten minutes, to stop automated abuse of the form. The record used for this limit is a small temporary file that is automatically deleted roughly ten minutes after it is created, and it is never linked to your name or any other personal information.

3. Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies needed to run it, and no advertising or analytics cookies. The full list, including exactly what each one does and how long it lasts, is in our Cookie Policy.

4. How we use your information

We use the information from the enquiry form to reply to you, discuss and quote for the service you asked about, and keep a record of the enquiry for our business. We use the rate-limiting described above to protect the form from spam and abuse. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

5. Purpose and consent

We process an enquiry you send us because you asked us to respond to it. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a working, spam-free contact form for the technical and anti-abuse details above. Where we ask for your consent, such as for the cookie banner choice, you can change your mind at any time (see Section 3 and our Cookie Policy).

6. Who we share information with

Submitting the enquiry form sends an email to our own inbox through our email provider, Zoho Mail, so the content of your enquiry, including the time you sent it and your IP address, is stored in our Zoho mailbox. Our website itself is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the site's files and keeps standard server logs on our behalf. We do not share your information with any other company, and we do not sell it.

7. Links that take you elsewhere

Some buttons and links on this site, such as "WhatsApp Us" and "Review Us on Google", open WhatsApp or Google in a new tab. Once you follow one of these links you leave our site, and your use of WhatsApp or Google is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry emails for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and for our own business records, which by default we treat as up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete your information sooner or we are required to keep it for longer. The temporary file used for the rate limit is deleted automatically after about ten minutes. Standard hosting server logs are kept by our host, Hostinger, for a limited period under their own retention practice, which we understand to typically be around 12 months.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form uses server-side validation, a hidden spam-trap field and the rate limit described above. Files that could expose configuration details, such as our email settings, are blocked from direct access on the server. We do not ask for or store passwords or payment details on this website.

10. International data transfers

Our service providers, including our email provider and our web host, may process information on servers located outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' own security and contractual safeguards to protect your information.

11. Your rights

If you are in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to be told how it is used, to ask for a copy of it, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to ask for it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given us. If you are visiting from elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your own country's data protection law. To use any of these rights, email us at info@dcdevelopersit.com.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), the independent regulator for data protection in Nigeria.

13. Children

This website is a business and services website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through this site.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our services or our use of cookies change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
